The City Clerk serves as the Qualifying Officer for the City and coordinates all Municipal Elections with the Lake County Supervisor of Elections.  She is the official filing officer for candidates seeking elective office in the City of Groveland.

The regular election of the City Council Members is held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

The Council consists of five (5) seats with one being reserved for Mayor. The Mayor is elected on a City-wide basis and is not required to reside in  a particular political district.

The remaining four (4) Council seats consists of one for each of the four (4) political districts established and they shall also be elected on a City-wide basis.

District 2 (Vice Mayor) - Odd Numbered Years
District 3 (Council) - Even Numbered Years      
District 4 (Council) - Odd Numbered Years
