Senior Center

The City of Groveland has established this all day Senior Center to provide a safe and comfortable place for local seniors to gather, socialize, learn new things, and enjoy each other’s company.

The Groveland Senior Center, formerly the Groveland Lions Club, offers:
  • A library
  • 2 pool tables
  • Computers
  • Food and beverages
  • Games
  • Internet access
  • Social events

Exercise Class

Exercise classes are held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at 10:30am. Classes are led by Kevin Davis of Temple Health and Wellness. These classes are sponsored by United Healthcare, and are free of charge.

Food Services

Coffee is provided in the mornings, free of charge. Congregate meals are provided daily from 11:30am - 12:30pm by Mid-Florida Community Services. These meals are free of charge, but you will be required to complete some paperwork to sign up for the meals.

Support & Donations

We have received tremendous support on this endeavor from the community including donations of a pool table, books, games, tables, electronics, small gifts to award BINGO winners, and even items to sell in a garage sale were donated by Cascades of Groveland to raise funds for the center.

We are currently requesting donations that can be used as BINGO prizes for the seniors. Bingo is played daily, and any small items that can be donated would be greatly appreciated. We would also be happy to collect any items that are left over at the end of yard sales that could be used as prizes.

Additional Information

Everyone 55 years young and older is invited to attend the free center. If interested in participating please email the Senior Center or call 352-429-9513. We look forward to meeting you!

We are always looking for volunteers to help us out. We would like to invite Scout troops, school groups, community groups, and students who need to earn community service hours to contact us to discuss volunteer opportunities.
