The City of Groveland has established this all-day Senior Center to provide a safe and comfortable place for local seniors to gather, socialize, learn new things, and enjoy each other's company.

The Groveland Senior Center, formerly the Groveland Lions Club, offers:

  • 1 pool tables
  • Computers
  • Food and beverages
  • Games- Bingo
  • Internet access
  • Social events- Birthday parties and holidays only

Food Services

Congregate coffee, breakfast, hot lunch, and pastries are provided daily at 11:00am by Mid-Florida Community Services (352-326-3540). These meals are free of charge, but you will be required to complete some paperwork to sign up for the meals as an enrolled client.

Support & Donations

We have received tremendous support on this endeavor from the community including donations of a pool table, books, games, tables, electronics, small gifts to award BINGO winners, and even items to sell in a garage sale were donated by Cascades of Groveland to raise funds for the center.

We are currently requesting donations that can be used as BINGO prizes for the seniors. Bingo is played daily, and any small items that can be donated would be greatly appreciated. We would also be happy to collect any items that are left over at the end of yard sales that could be used as prizes.

Additional Information

If interested in participating, please email the Senior Center or call 352-730-9295. We look forward to meeting you! Any person who meets the following requirements can attend the meal site:

We are always looking for volunteers to help us out. Background screening will be conducted before being able to volunteer on site. We encourage any Scout troops, school groups, community groups, and students who need to earn community service hours to contact us to discuss volunteer opportunities.
