The mission of the Parks, Facilities and Community Services Department is to provide affordable educational, recreational, cultural, leisure programs to enhance the health and wellness to Groveland’s citizens and its visitors; to provide safe, well maintained facilities; and to preserve our historical and natural beauty.

What’s Happening in Parks & Community Services?

Park Enhancements

Enhancements to parks are underway at David Blanks Playground and Lake David Park.

Lake David Park

The rumors are true! We are getting a splash pad, new playground equipment, and a new bathroom! Keep checking back for more updates.

The Community Redevelopment Agency has also set aside funding to update the North Side of Lake David Park. The area where the gazebo is currently located will be transformed into a Great Lawn with a stage for performances, festival streets, and a boardwalk.

Phase 1 of the project has been completed as of April 2020. Phase 2 conceptual design is tentatively slated to be completed by early 2021.
