The Groveland Senior Center
The Groveland Senior Center is located in the James L. Wyche Center at 142 Mills Street, formerly the Groveland Lions Club. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm (excluding holidays) for local seniors to enjoy. In addition to food and beverages the Center offers games, computer classes, internet access, arts and craft classes, social events, dances, a library and a pool table.
The City of Groveland has established this all day Senior Center to provide a safe and comfortable place for local seniors to gather, socialize, learn new things and enjoy each other’s company. We have received tremendous support on this endeavor from the community including donations of a pool table, books, games, tables, electronics, small gifts to award BINGO winners, and even items to sell in a garage sale were donated by Cascades of Groveland to raise funds for the center. We could not have achieved all we have without our wonderful volunteers, Bonnie Gearhart, Diane Quinn, John and Gloria McAllister, Richard Pine, and Betty Bradfield. Thank you volunteers!!!
Everyone 55 years young and older are invited to attend the free center. If interested in participating or making a donation please contact Lois at 352-429-9513 or Lois.Gray@groveland-fl.gov . We look forward to meeting you!
